Landscape and pathway lighting in Alcalde

Low-voltage LED landscape lighting marks paths, steps and driveways and shows off trees, walls and xeriscape planting. We size the transformer, bury the cable and aim each fixture so the light lands on the ground, not in your eyes or the neighbor's window.

Security and motion lighting

Motion-activated floodlights at garages, side yards and back doors are among the cheapest security upgrades there are. We mount them at the right height, aim the sensor so passing cars don't trigger it and wire them to a switch so you keep manual control.

Patio, portal and outdoor living power

Covered patios and portals need damp or wet rated fixtures, fan-rated boxes and GFCI-protected outlets. We also run power for outdoor kitchens, string lights, fountains and gate openers.

Good reasons to add outdoor lighting in Alcalde

• Dark steps, paths or driveway edges
• No light at side gates or the back door
• A patio or portal you can't use after sunset
• Extension cords running across the yard
• Old fixtures that are sun-cracked or full of dust

Electrical work in Alcalde and Rio Arriba County

Freeze-thaw cycles, snow load and strong high-altitude sun are tough on exterior electrical gear in Alcalde. We bury cable at the proper depth, use fittings rated for wet locations and mount equipment where sliding snow won't tear it off the wall.

Electric service in Rio Arriba County is typically provided by Jemez Mountains Electric Cooperative, Northern Rio Arriba Electric Cooperative or Kit Carson Electric Cooperative, depending on your address. When a job involves the meter or the service wires, we coordinate the disconnect and reconnect with them. We provide outdoor lighting installation across Alcalde (ZIP code 87511) and in nearby San Juan Pueblo, Hernandez, Velarde, Espanola and Santa Cruz.
