Solar panel electrical hookup in Valdez

The solar panel electrical hookup connects the inverter to your panel or service through the correct breaker, disconnects and labeling. The size of your main panel limits how much solar it can accept, so we check that first and upgrade the panel if it's the bottleneck.

Battery backup installation in Valdez

Battery backup installation stores energy for outages and for the evening. We install the battery, the transfer equipment and a backed-up loads panel so the refrigerator, lights, internet and well pump keep running when the grid drops.

Off-grid and remote property power

Plenty of New Mexico properties sit a long way from the nearest power line. We wire off-grid and hybrid systems that combine solar, batteries and a backup generator for cabins, ranches and remote homes around Valdez.

Call a solar electrician in Valdez if

• Your panel is too small or too full for solar
• You want backup power without a generator
• An existing solar system has stopped producing
• You're adding batteries to existing solar
• Your property is off the grid or far from a line

Electrical work in Valdez and Taos County

Winter storms and heavy, wet snow bring down lines in the mountains around Valdez, and summer monsoon lightning does the rest. Outages on rural lines in Taos County can take a while to restore, so backup power and surge protection earn their keep here.

Electric service in Taos County is typically provided by Kit Carson Electric Cooperative, depending on your address. When a job involves the meter or the service wires, we coordinate the disconnect and reconnect with them. We provide solar and battery backup electrical work across Valdez (ZIP code 87580) and in nearby Arroyo Seco, San Cristobal, Taos Ski Valley, Arroyo Hondo and Red River.
